Insurance Verification Specialist Responsibilities & Duties:
- Verifying insurance for incoming referrals.
- Communicate prior authorization and referral requirements and requesting when necessary.
- Working with billing team on post-authorizations.
- Ability to request single case agreements when necessary.
- Create logins for authorizations and prior authorizations when necessary.
- Checking faxes and sending them out as necessary.
- Additional administration tasks as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Products.
- Extensive knowledge of HMO, PPO, EPO, copays, deductibles and OOPM.
- Proficient in EMRS and communication devices.
- Ability to self-manage and organize many moving parts.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Ability to coordinate and interact with all departments.
- In-office working environment.
