About the Job
Insurance Verification Specialist Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Verifying insurance for incoming referrals.
  • Communicate prior authorization and referral requirements and requesting when necessary.
  • Working with billing team on post-authorizations.
  • Ability to request single case agreements when necessary.
  • Create logins for authorizations and prior authorizations when necessary.
  • Checking faxes and sending them out as necessary.
  • Additional administration tasks as necessary.

Job Requirements: 
  • Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Products.
  • Extensive knowledge of HMO, PPO, EPO, copays, deductibles and OOPM.
  • Proficient in EMRS and communication devices.
  • Ability to self-manage and organize many moving parts.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and interact with all departments.
  • In-office working environment.
